Welcome to the Workshop

Greetings, friends.

I’ve tried blogging before, but it never quite found its center. This time, though, I’m stepping into it with a clearer purpose. My wife and I have been pouring ourselves into all kinds of craft projects lately — the kind that leave our home sprinkled with paint drips, stray threads, bits of plastic canvas, and the occasional perler bead that somehow ends up in the hallway. It’s messy, joyful, and very us.

Over time, people have started asking if we share our process anywhere. YouTube? TikTok? A blog? Something? After giving it some real thought, I’ve decided it’s time to start saying yes.

So here I am, starting fresh. This space will be a home for our projects, our experiments, our successes, and the inevitable “well… that didn’t go as planned” moments. I’ll be sharing my adventures in plastic canvas, cross stitch, sewing, and perler bead creations, while my wife brings her gorgeous paint‑pour art into the mix. Together, we’re building a little creative corner where curiosity and craft collide.

If you’re someone who loves making things with your hands — whether it’s thread, canvas, fabric, fuse beads, or swirling paint — you’re in the right place.

Cross Stitch pieces both traditional and modern designs, and some fandom inspired pieces too. 

Perler / Fuse Beads because well, we're already in the pixel realm with our other pursuits may as well work with these too. Fandom pieces or other interesting designs we encounter.

Sewing Projects both practical and creative pieces as well as the occasional learning moment. So far we've done practical hair scrunchies and some different bags, but who knows what'll be next.

We love crafts that invite patience, experimentation, and a little bit of chaos. Paint pouring teaches us to let go of control. Cross stitch teaches precision. Plastic canvas lets me build things that feel both nostalgic and new. Sewing keeps me humble. Perler beads let us play with color and pixel‑style creativity. Together, they give us a shared creative language.
